Senior editor of mobile for TechnoBuffalo.com Todd Haselton said that it’s still unclear when we’ll see the glasses actually on the market, even though websites leaking information earlier in 2012 said they’d be released this year. Haselton, however, doesn’t think consumers should get their hopes up about an availability that soon … but with Google’s top-secret “Project X” (a group Haselton compared to the CIA at Google) working on prototypes and concept design, it’ll hit shelves in the near future.
“I think it’s too early to see it this year. I don’t see the technology fitting in those glasses, but it’s definitely something that should be taken seriously, because they have the top guys working on this.”
